A simple webinar presentation outline for your first useful lesson

Plan a focused webinar with a practical six-part outline and a rehearsal checklist.

Choose one learning outcome

Write one sentence describing what the audience should be able to do at the end. “Understand marketing” is too broad; “outline a short customer checklist” is more useful. Select a topic you can explain accurately and remove material that does not support the outcome. A clear lesson can be delivered with simple slides; presentation software is only one part of the preparation.

Use this six-part outline

Begin with the outcome and who the lesson is for. Describe the problem and a specific example. Teach a small number of steps. Demonstrate those steps with a worked example. Give the audience a short activity or checklist. End with a recap, questions, and an optional next step. Treat this as a suggested structure, not a formula proven to generate sales.

Keep the teaching separate from the offer

If you recommend a product or service, make the commercial relationship clear. Explain what it helps with and what the audience can do without buying it. The lesson should remain useful to someone who does not purchase. Avoid using unsupported earnings claims as teaching examples or suggesting that a particular tool replaces the work of learning and applying the material.

Design for the actual viewing conditions

Many attendees will watch on a small screen. Use a readable font size, strong contrast, and one main point per slide. Make charts understandable without relying on colour alone. Describe important visual details aloud and provide useful notes where practical. These are design checks you can perform before the event; they are not guarantees of accessibility in every viewing environment.

Rehearse the complete workflow

Test the connection, audio, screen sharing, any videos, and the transition into questions. Keep a backup version of essential slides and know what is lost in that format. Microsoft documents options for exporting presentations, including PDF; animations and interactive behaviour may not carry across as you expect. Verify your own file instead of assuming that export means identical playback.

Choose software after the outline works

Prezentar is marketed for presentations, courses, and related content. It may be worth investigating if its workflow suits your lesson. We have not personally tested it. First try the tools you already know, then confirm current export support, media rights, and included features before paying for another product. A strong outline and a rehearsed explanation remain useful in any editor.
